    Learning Objectives: At the end of the presentation attendees should be able to:

    • Identify changes in the 2019 Global Initiates of Asthma(GINA) Guidelines
    • Paraphrase recent changes in asthma literature and the corresponding impact on guideline recommendations
    • Give examples of guidelines changes with a patient case
    • Identify the new recommendations included in the 2019 Updated AGS Beers Criteria Guidelines
    • Give examples of deprescribing methods to a patient case
    • Identify changes made in the 2019 Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA)– Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) Guidelines
    • Summarize changes to the CAP guidelines and the effect on antimicrobial therapies
    • Describe practice changes based on pneumonia vaccine recommendation changes

    Requirements for Credit: Participants can earn Continuing Pharmacy Education credit for this program by registering, attending the complete program, and then by electronically logging onto the website: https://bouve.northeastern.edu/pharmacy/continuing-education/ , inserting the activity specific code number and successfully completing the activity assessment/evaluation form. Participant names will be checked against program registration sheets for verification of attendance. This program is accredited for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

    Participants have 60 days to complete evaluations. After 60 days from June 2, 2020, no credit will be available for this program.

    Credits will be directly transferred to the CPE Monitor System. No Statements of Credit are issued.
