VT/NH/ME HPV Vaccination Education Session For Pharmacists: The Role of Pharmacists: Helping to reduce certain HPV-related cancers and diseases

The Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine Pharmacists Associations invite you to a free, virtual, educational session on the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine where we will be joined by experts from the manufacturer, Merck. HPV is the most frequently diagnosed sexually transmitted disease and is associated with the development of cervical, anal-genital, and oral-pharyngeal cancers. Despite the terrible consequences, HPV vaccination series completion rates remain low. This is the perfect opportunity for pharmacists to step in and prevent cancer!

Learn about the vaccine series timeline and how to have conversations with parents (and older adolescents) on how to stop this terrible scourge!

While there is no CE provided (and pharmacists must attest that they are not employed by a another pharmaceutical company), this educational program is a must for all immunizers.

Please join us on September 25th from 11am-12pm for this valuable program.

This session is led by Dr. Kimberly Daly. Dr. Daly is a Regional Medical Director employed by Merck & Co., Inc. Dr. Daly has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of health care experience. Dr. Daly received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice and Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts. She is credited for a vaccine-focused peer-reviewed program published in the Journal for Nurse Practitioners, which has been replicated in college health and public health clinics across the nation. She has been a key presenter at various health conferences and has extensive experience in leadership, management, policy development, patient advocacy, program development, and legislative outreach. Dr. Daly is the former President-elect for the New England College Health Association and Vice President for the Massachusetts Coalition for Nurse Practitioners.
