 Advocacy

Professional and experienced lobbying efforts by Otis & Kennedy,LLC in Montpelier to amplify our voice – VPA is the only representative organization for all pharmacists in the state with an active presence on the Hill! If you want something said, we can help you say it! VPA frequently testifies on behalf of the profession in our state to legislative committees. Past legislative successes include Senate Bill 243 recognizing pharmacists as health care providers and the Pharmacy audit bill that is currently saving pharmacists thousands.

The VPA Board attends the Board of Pharmacy meetings, and we help develop policies and procedures. As a member, we keep you informed of legislation affecting pharmacists in Vermont. VPA Members give testimony or expert opinion for legislation and state government committees.

Education

We offer discounts and member-only rates on live didactic CE. The VPA provides twice yearly live CE to assist pharmacists with education requirements We have resources tailored for VT pharmacists on our website, including member-exclusive resources.

Communications

We send e-Blasts with important news (new regulations, Board of Pharmacy changes, and helpful links!) Check out our social media connections with news and event information.

Events

Join us for networking, socials to connect with peers across the state, and for our semiannual VPA meetings. Some of our events include our quarterly Pharmacy Book Club. Our board members and executive director attend regional and national meetings.

Professional Development

There are many opportunities for leadership within the organization. New practitioners, students, and technicians are eligible for discounted rates. Get involved with VPA as an elected Board member or volunteer committee member!

Recognition 

The VPA shares important news with state news outlets to honor pharmacists in our state. We offer annual awards to deserving pharmacists, including the Bowl of Hygeia and the Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year Award. We also offer a student scholarship award.
