Join the Vermont Pharmacists Association and Paradigm Medical Communications for a one hour virtual CE! James S. Lewis II, PharmD, FIDSA, will present "Don’t Forget About the Flu: Identifying, Treating, and Protecting High-Risk Patients", from 7-8 PM EST on November 17, 2021.
This evidence-based program will provide pharmacists with updates on best practices for identifying influenza and guiding the use of antiviral therapy, which is currently underused, even among high-risk patients who are susceptible to worse outcomes. The program will acquaint pharmacists with shifts in influenza diagnosis and care that have been prompted by the emergence of COVID-19, and the availability of a first-in-class oral antiviral agent, for which data, indications, and formulations continue to accumulate, warranting immediate practice changes in both treatment and prophylaxis.
