Becoming a Vermont pharmacist has always been my dream career. I was born and raised in Mount Holly, VT and wanted a career that would allow me to benefit my community. The scholarship I received from the Vermont Pharmacist Association was a huge help to pay for my text books and lab coat. The scholarship allowed me to focus on my studies and to devote time to growing as a pharmacy professional. I am currently working at my local hospital in Rutland, VT where I helped to develop a program in which pharmacists are directly involved with discharge counseling and medication reconciliation. The program was overwhelmingly accepted by patients, family and staff. I am thrilled to say I am making a difference in my community!
